Let’s talk logo’s and websites. Ben and Chloe (our web and graphic designers) have just completed working on a web and logo design project for PPM Ltd. (Pritchard Production Management) which is a micro-business of Transwaste.
PPM Ltd. is a local business which offers recycling machinery hire all throughout the UK. They work with companies all throughout the nation hiring out shredders, trommels and screeners from brands such as Doppstadt and Powerscreen. Each piece of equipment comes with a 24/7 backup service too. Nicola and Bruce work together at PPM and worked cooperatively with Ben and Chloe on their branding and website.
PPM and Transwaste contacted our team enquiring about a rebrand and a website for the company to trade more independently as opposed to working with Transwaste. After a conversation over the phone, Chloe had a meeting with Bruce and Nicola at Transwaste in Brough to gain an understanding of what their wants where when it came to logo design.
Chloe received a brief and started working on a bespoke logo design for the company. The design process for their new logo started with understanding exactly what message PPM Ltd. wanted to convey. Chloe discussed with Nicola and Bruce various different options and design routes but settled on a professional and sophisticated logo that is easily used on print, signange, web etc.
It all started with a bold font for clarity and noticeability, and then the rest of the logo was designed. The use of the orange found in the logo was taken from the equipment which PPM Ltd. hire out. The Doppstadt machines are a burnt orange so Chloe integrated this by using a Pantone orange. In the logo, 16 small boxes can be seen. Now you may think this is just a nice design element but it actually represents the sorting grids found inside the machines. This is what separates the different sizes of materials.
Once their logo was finalised, it was time for Ben to come into the equation. Again, Ben had a meeting with Bruce and Nicola to talk about the website. Ben discussed design ideas, inspiration and also the direction their website was going to take. From that, Ben started the web design back at our digital suite. He took elements from their logo design and integrated it within the website as well as using the companies colour scheme and fonts. It’s great for clients to work with Ben and Chloe on branding and websites as they can both work together in seamlessly integrating the companies branding from logo design, print and digitally.
The website (www.pritchardproduction.co.uk) is an informative site which educates users on their machines which they hire out. Each machine has an individual page explaining the features and machine specification. The goal was to give the user as much information as possible and to get them to enquire/call about hiring the machine. Along with a testimonials page, machine enquiry page, news page for SEO Google ranking and contact page – the site works great.
